The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
